CLH Digs into INCPAS Day of Service

This fall, Northwest Indiana accounting firm CLH, CPAs & Consultants took part in the Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) Day of Service. The annual event is a statewide initiative encouraging INCPAS members to leave their desks and support their local communities through various service projects.  The Day of Service also offers an opportunity to highlight partnerships with local organizations that are improving communities throughout the state.

During this year’s event, CLH members donned their gardening gloves and tapped into their green thumbs to assist the Save the Dunes to install over 300 plants in an expansive pollinator garden. CLH has been a long-time supporter of Save the Dunes, an advocacy organization that seeks to preserve the natural ecosystem in Northwest Indiana. Over the last decade, multiple CLH members have served on the Save the Dunes board and the accounting firm has also been active in many of the organization’s events as well as other service projects that further the Save the Dunes’s mission.

Bob Lange, CPA, Managing Partner of CLH, and current Save the Dunes Treasurer remarked, “CLH has participated in the INCPAS Day of Service for a number of years in several creative capacities.  We all look forward to it every year because it’s always been more than just a day of giving back to our local community.”  He continued, “It’s a way all of us in this industry can come together for the betterment of where we work and live.  We’re also inspired by what others in our industry are doing to demonstrate their commitment to Indiana communities.”

Lynn Duttlinger, CPA, CLH Senior Director, and former Treasurer of Save the Dunes, added, “We’re changing the face of the stereotypical portrait of accountants who are always behind a desk 24/7.  It’s a fun day to be out of the office and knowing we’re truly making a difference with Save the Dunes as part of their long-term renovations of the historic Barker House properties.  Can’t wait to see the blooms in the spring!”
